Water bricks for an efficient water storage

Water bricks are one of the most efficient ways to store and transport your water. They will leave no empty space and keep your water drinkable for over 6 months.

We need one gallon of water per person per day according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. If you have cats or dogs, you will need one more gallon of water per pet.

As a prepper, you know that you need at least 3 days of water storage.
That’s 12 gallons of water for a family of 4.

For a safe month, you will need 120 gallons of water. Where will you store all that water? Do you have enough space for all the barrels that this needs? Are they the best choice for your water plan?

Water bricks for storage

This is where water bricks show their high efficacity. These bricks are perfect for your overall water plan. Great for storage and easy to transport for water collection.

Aside from the size, while choosing your water bricks, you have the choice between the tanned and the translucid ones.

The tanned ones are better as they are less prone to sunlight that can result in a quicker bacteria growth. Use them for longer water life.

Get also an RV safe drinking hose designed for drinking water which is much safer than outside water hoses.

Get at least one Water spigot that allows for easy opening and closing. Use it to pour water in your glass or bottles.

Using a water spigot is better than dumping up the water directly from your water bricks.

Your water source can be a rainwater recuperation system, a well, or a river. Depending on its placement, you will need an easy and safe way to transport it.

Here you will use the handles of your water bricks and take them to your water source.

You got 3.5 gallons in your hand but the shape of the water bricks makes it easy to handle. The handles keep it nice and tight, in line with your legs.

Add a water filtration system

Don’t forget to filtrate your water to keep it clean from any threatening bacteria. Use water filters or purification tablets for that purpose.

Conclusion:

Water is the first resource to disappear in an emergency. It’s for your best to store as much as you can before going through an unexpected situation.

People are literally getting diseases and dying in several countries due to water shortages.

Store a month of water allow yourself to have peace of mind (120 gallons for a family of 4).
Don’t wait long until you have enough space in your basement. Keep your family safe.
